Spring Break was Busy........... (Sorry So Late)

My cousin's Mike and family and Cindy and her husband came in town just before the break for some fun in the sun. The kids finally warmed up to each other just as we were having to go home.
Easter Celebration at my Aunt Mary's house. My cousin Gina, Rich and his family all came into town. The kids had a great time!

Having fun at the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot

Ainsley and Aleta
Wow, mom is in a photo instead of taking the photo. Whw, we are actually all looking in the right direction too.

Pictures with the Easter Bunny at Walmart. Every Holiday we seem to be shopping just when they are taking pictures for free. The kids have been great and loved getting their pictures taken, including Kip.

Morning Disney fun for one of our two trips to Disney this week.
My cousin Ann and Steve and their children Drew, Kate, and Meg all came into town during Spring Break and we met up for some fun at Disney and at the pool area.

Having dun in the hotel sand and pool area. My cousin's stayed at the Swan and Dolphin. We had never been before, it was really nice.

The whole gang. Can't tell we're related at all can you?

The boat ride back to the park.

This was a really cool picture of Kip looking out the window of the boat from the hotel to the park. The reflection shows such a pure and cute little man!

Walking from ride to ride. So much fun when we are with our family!!!

Madison and her best friend Stephanie made cookies and had a play date.
It was great to see all of my family. I love being a teacher and having the multiple opportunites to do fun things with our children. It is extremely rewarding!!!!

The family update

This past week was crazy. In the past three weeks Madison has been sick with a stomach virus. and Kip, Kevin and Jennifer have all had a cold. Kip got an ear infection which is no surprise to us. He started on meds and two days later began more fevers. We took him to the doctor and new meds were given. Kip steadily grew worse over the weekend with High fevers of 103'. He was throwing up and having lots of bowel movements.
As Monday grew closer and Kevin and Jennifer had no school we spent the day taking Kip to the doctor and getting a chest x-ray. That afternoon we found out his chest x-ray was clear so no news on why he was so sick and Madison fell off her bike. She broke her arm in two places. Of course it was her right arm above the elbow and involving her elbow. This made things just a bit worse in the house for the week.
The following morning Jen had to got to the doctor to only find out that she has bronchitis and need to get lots of medicine. Then that afternoon we were told to take Kip to the hospital for fluids. We were hoping to get some fluids and go home but we were admitted. Kip was diagnosed with the stomach bug called ROTA virus. ( Following in big sister's footsteps) He was definitely dehydrated. He was placed on IV antibiotics since he could not keep in the ones he was taking orally. His ears had quickly gotten worse and now he had a ear infection with pus and a bulging ear drum and a red throat even on IV antibiotics. Just as we thought nothing else could get worse. We were told that we were going to have to have Kip's ear tubes replaced and his adenoids removed prior to going home. Fevers had finally subsided and the surgery finally scheduled. (Again following in my big sisters footsteps) The Rota virus was finally resolved.
The surgery went well. He just had lots of trouble once they removed the breathing tube from an upper respiratory infection. So they watched him really closely after the surgery. We really felt like we were not going home until Saturday. He ended up with fluid in his lungs after the surgery and was in a lot of pain. Things were not looking like we were going to be moving too much. Amazingly Kip wanted to eat and had something to drink about 2:00 in the afternoon. We were able to go home Friday. Kip did well with all the medications and sleeping.
Also on Friday Madison went to an Orthopedic surgeon to get a cast and more x-rays. Thank goodness we did not need surgery she just needs to be extremely careful to not fall and hurt it further now that she has a cast. Madison choose a pink cast so she could have everyone sign it. Madison was extremely happy to see Kip and Mommy. We finally were all in the same house she said. She did well with her cast as well. She is definitely is having a hard time not running around and bugging her little brother. Things seem like we just skipped the week and nothing ever changed.
Hope everyone is doing as well as we are now and have a great week!!

Our Terriffic Kid

Terriffic Kid for the month of January!!!
Madison was choosen as the terriffic kid of the month of January for Resourcefulness.
It is not very easy to be choosen for this spot. Madison is one of 34 students and there is only one choosen for each month. The t- shirt is worn proudly and the sticker is on the back of mom's van to tell all that follow us.
Way to go Madison!!!!
At the award ceremony at school.
Nana came to watch her get her award.

Mommy was able to stop in just before her classes started.
Awesome job Madison!
We are so proud of our growing princess!!!

Jenn's Birthday

Every year for my birthday we go to Disney. (Who would of ever thought that?) We always go just for the day. We choose to go in the afternoon to see the afternoon parade and eveing parade and pfcourse the fireqorks. Kip had never seen the parades or the fireworks and it had been atleast a couple of years since Madison had seen the parades and fireworks. The kids loved it!

"The Carousel"
Madison has always loved the Carousel and Kip loves to ride the horses!
We waited for an hour for the afternoon parade to start and then we stayed long enought to see the evening parade. (We waited another hour.) And then we waited to see the firworks.(again another hour, boy my legs were hurting!!!!)

Kip loved the parade and loved it when he saw MIKEY!!!!

Madison's favorite part were the fireworks! And the fact that the castle changed colors. Mom has a photo with the castle in every color possible. (There are 7 in all.)

Happy Birthday to Mommy!
Hope you have a great day!!!

Beginning The Holidays

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Brianna and Madison made the ornaments for the entire tree. Such great helpers they were!! Kip loves to pull them off the tree. Gee, good thing we have foam ornaments .
Kip loved the train. Jenn had one when she was little just like this one.

Madison fanned out the limbs.
Kip helped Daddy put the limbs in the stand. Too cute.

Kevin keep Kip busy while I mommy was putting on the lights and Kip wanted Mickey up and wanted to take a picture. Too cute. He LOVES Mickey Mouse!!!
